The Burrow: A place you belong
The Burrow is a personal project and my first unpublished book, telling the journey of a young fox through out her first year alone at the forest. As the seasons change, she faces the challenges of finding her place on the woods, learning to hunt, to flee and to interact with others of her kind. The idea was born during a workshop on picturebooks with the consultancy of Dani Gutfreund (brazilian editor and director of Lugar de Ler) and Pat Lobo (artist and illustrator). The book explores what is a home and how can we find a place to call our own, using only images to guide the reader on the fox's journey into the woods.
